WHAT IS COVERED BY OUR PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy applies to information received and developed by our credit information services, to information provided to us by our clients, and by the consumers who are customers or former customers of our clients. We provide this policy on request.

INFORMATION WE HAVE

1 Source Data receives information about its clients during their application process, and in the normal course of business. We receive information on consumers from various sources, including information from:

• The three major credit repositories, Trans Union, Experian, and Equifax
• The broker, lender or other authorized client requesting credit information
• Direct contact with consumers, either through conversations or submitted documents.

INFORMATION WE SHARE

1 Source Data shares information for legal and routine business purposes, only as permitted by law. For example, we may share information with third party service providers in order to generate reports authorized by our clients; with regulatory authorities and law enforcement officials to protect against fraud; with repositories to correct errors in consumer credit files; and with brokers and lenders to facilitate the mortgage loan process.

PROTECTING THE CONFIDENTIALLY OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION

All Consumer Reporting Agencies must follow business practices dictated by the credit collection repositories, as well as Federal and States’ governments. 1 Source Data takes its responsibility to protect the privacy and confidentiality of customer information very seriously.

1 Source Data facilities include a variety of security protocols that continually shield client and customer data from loss, misuse, alteration or unintentional destruction. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to store and secure information from unauthorized access, alteration and destruction. And, we carefully examine our employees, partners, vendors and clients for compliance with regulations and adherence to stipulated business practices.

FAIR CREDIT REPORTING

The Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act and various States laws regulate the management of consumer data. In compliance with these regulations, 1 Source Data does not disclose, either directly or indirectly, to any unauthorized person, firm or corporation, information of any kind, nature or description concerning matters affecting or relating to the business of its clients or consumers unless the information is already in the public domain or disclosure is permitted by law. Some examples of permissible disclosure include: purposes defined under the FCRA, providing information to industry regulators, to law enforcement agencies, for fraud prevention, or by court order.

1 Source Data requires its clients to certify in writing that they have read the FCRA regulations and conduct their business accordingly.

COLLECTED INFORMATION

1 Source Data collects and reports consumer credit data solely for the use and benefit of its clients. We do not catalog or maintain any consumer specific files.

Prospective clients are required to execute several agreements. These include a standard service application, service terms and conditions and pricing addendum. Certain licenses and verifications must be presented, and detailed information obtained, such as “key-man” contact data and financial references. Regulations may also require personal client information and guarantees. This information is used to qualify clients, set up client services and authorize access to its employees; to perform the normal processes of commerce with the client; to contact individuals within the business for training; to provide product information; and to discuss issues of interest their customers.

All client applications, agreements, conversations, electronic communications (including faxes and emails) are held in confidence: they are not distributed or shared. By agreement, clients must train employees on the use and maintenance of all security systems and practices, enforce their proper use, and disallow unauthorized client employees.

Our partners and vendors are selected in a similar manner, held to the same standards and granted the same courtesies.

THIRD-PARTY SITES

From time to time, 1 Source Data enters into agreements with other organizations to provide services or make products and services available to our clients. Under these agreements, such companies may receive consumer or client information. By agreement, they must safeguard this information, and they may not use it for any other purposes.
