Finding Credit Reports and Supplements

Credit reports that your company orders are kept on the 1 Source Data system for future reference.  The last 100 reports that you ordered are easily accessible from your desktop.  You can also search for reports using more advanced criteria.

Administrators are able to view all reports ordered through their company, regardless of which user ordered them.  Administrators may also choose whether or not to grant this privilege to ordinary users.  See Access Permission for more information.

The following illustration shows where you can find the search functions on the 1 Source Data Desktop.

Desktop

Desktop Reports Tab

Reports Tab

The Reports tab on the desktop shows up to the last 100 reports that you (or your company) pulled.  Each report listing includes viewing options, the file number and name, the requesting user, the report type (RMCR or PREQual), the source bureaus, the report cost, and a modification date.  You may sort by file number or name, charge amount, or modification date.

Clicking on a file name takes you to the credit file screen.  The view options will let you view the prequal report with Web-based or PDF formatting; the printer icon will ePrint the PDF file.

The New File and Find File buttons are for quick-reference functionality; they open the New Report and Find Report screens, respectively.

Other Desktop Tabs
RMCRs

This tab shows (up to) your last 40 RMCRs.  The view option opens the Web-based view.

You can view both Web-based and PDF versions of RMCRs in the credit file screen.

Requests

This tab lists your last 40 general and supplement requests.  The view option shows a description of your request.  The following types are used:

  • INQUIRY: Inquiry request
  • MISC: Miscellaneous or general request
  • PUBREC: Public Records request
  • RMCR: Residential Mortgage Credit Report request
  • TRADE: Tradeline request

You can also review supplement requests in the Supplement Requests History panel of the credit file screen.

Supplements

This tab lists your last 40 processed supplements.  These supplements are viewed as PDF documents.

Supplements can also be viewed in the Supplement Reports panel of the credit file screen.

Flood

This tab lists your last 40 flood zone determination requests.  Clicking the ID# generates a PDF copy of the Geotrac flood insurance report.  The New File and Find File buttons here are not the same as those buttons on the other tabs.  These buttons deal with flood zone determination, not with credit reports.

You can also create and review flood reports from the New Report and Find Report links under the Flood section of the Desktop.

The Flood tab may not be available for all customers.  Contact your CRA administrator for more information.

Find Report Command

Find Report dialog

The Find Report dialog, shown above, allows you to search for the following criteria:

  • File #: The report file number automatically generated by the system
  • Reference #: The optional reference number that you may have assigned
  • Fannie Job #: FNMA ID #, only used when data was submitted through a Fannie Mae provider
  • Borrower's First Name
  • Borrower's Last Name
  • Borrower's SSN (Social Security Number): No dashes, please.
  • Co-borrower's First Name
  • Co-borrower's Last Name
  • Co-borrower's SSN (Social Security Number): Omit dashes.
  • Last Modified - Start Date: Earliest date to search. Click on the Today button to insert today's date.
  • Last Modified - End Date: Last date to search. Leave blank to use today's date as a default.

The system can search based on partial criteria.  For example, if you enter "SM" into the Borrower's Last Name field, the system will return a list of consumer credit reports that were ordered previously whose last name begins with "SM".  Additionally, administrators can give certain users an option to search based on which user ordered the report.

Press the Submit Query button to search, the Clear button to clear the search fields, or the Cancel button to return to the desktop.  If no criterion is specified when the Submit Query button is pressed, the system will return the most recent 500 credit reports that were ordered.

Quick Reference Bar

Quick Reference Find

You can also find reports from the Quick Reference bar at the top of the desktop.  You can only select one search criterion using this method.  First, select your search method: file number, reference number, FNMA number, borrower's last name, or borrower's social security number.  Then, type your keyword into the search box.  Finally, press the "Go" button.

If your search only yields one result, you will be taken directly to that credit report.  If multiple matches are found, you are shown a list of matches.  If no matches are found, you will be taken to the Find Report screen, and your keyword will be placed in the corresponding search field.
