Personal Preferences: the "My Account" Screen

The My Account screen allows you to permanently change your password and Automatic Print settings.  You can access this page by clicking on the My Account link in the Others section of the main desktop.  The top portion of this screen shows information about your company, and is not editable.

Changing Your Password

As a security measure, all users must change their passwords every 90 days.  It is also a good idea to change your password the first time you log in to the system.  This is especially important if you received your password by e-mail, since e-mail is typically not a secure medium for messages.

To change your password, you must enter your old password and your new password.  You will also need to retype your new password to confirm it.  Your new password must be at least 8 characters long and contain at least one digit; however, it cannot be entirely numerical.

Press the Save button to save your new password (and print settings).  If your new password is accepted, you will be returned to the desktop.  If there is a problem, an error message will be displayed, and your old password will remain valid.

Printing Methods Toggle

You can choose what printing method is used when you click on a printer icon (Printer icon) in 1 Source Data.  The default selection, ePrint, is recommended for most users.  If ePrint does not work reliably on your computer, you may elect to use Express Print instead.  (A comparison between ePrint and expressPrint is in the FAQ section.)

Automatic Print Feature

Automatic Print is a new feature that allows you to automatically print reports when you order them.  If you select this option, your standard ePrint options are invoked when you successfully pull a report using the standard Web interface.  You must have the ePrint module installed correctly for this feature to work.

The Configure Default Printer button allows you to change your ePrint options.  It opens the standard ePrint options dialog box, but will save your settings without actually printing anything.  Since ePrint relies on persistent cookie data to store printer information, these settings may be lost if you have configured Internet Explorer to reject stored cookies.  If this is the case, we strongly recommend that you change your browser settings.

A confirmation checkbox will appear on the New Report screen whenever you order a new report.  This checkbox will have the same value as the checkbox on the My Account screen.  To temporarily override your default setting for an order, change the value on this checkbox; your stored setting will not be changed.  In any case, no report will be printed if no credit data is returned through 1 Source Data.
