Agent Link Point Interface
The Agent Link Point interface allows you to send and receive borrower data using Calyx Point. This module can be downloaded from the LOS Interfaces section of the 1 Source Data Software Download Page; it is labeled Calyx Point Interface (Version 2). Refer to the Downloads and Modules FAQ for installation instructions.
New users should download the Version 2 interface, and ignore the obsolete Version 1. Version 2 is more integrated with Point when it comes to single borrower files, yet also allows batch ordering through a standalone interface.
If you plan to install Calyx Point Interface onto a Citrix server, read the relevant section near the bottom of the Downloads page for instructions.
If you plan to order flood report, you will need to contact your credit reporting agency to get setup.

When properly installed, Agent Link is easily accessible from within the Point application. Preparing the Borrower File
To start, first launch Point. Then, open or create a borrower file. Your borrower file must have the borrower's full name, social security number, and mailing address filled out to work with Agent Link. When you have finished editing the borrower's information, save the file.

There are two methods of launching the Agent Link interface from within Point. The easiest and most popular way is to use the Interface menu. Note: Calyx Point 3.9 users may not be able to use Method 1 and will need to use Method 2: Export Templates. Contact your CRA for details.
Method 1 - the Interface Menu: To use Agent Link to order a credit report for this borrower, first select the Credit Reporting... option from the Interface menu. (If you have a number of saved borrowers, you can use Agent Link's batch ordering capabilities instead of individually ordering reports.)

The Credit Reporting Interfaces dialog box will open. Select the AGENT LINK interface, and press Send Data to open the Agent Link login screen. (The actual label for Agent Link may differ among the different versions of Calyx POINT)

If you close the Agent Link window before exporting data, you will need to click the Close button of this dialog to return to Point.
Method 2 - Using Export Templates: Select Other App from the Export To submenu from the File menu..

You will be prompted with a dialog to select the export template. Double click on the 1 Source DataPOINT.EXP file. This will launch the Agent Link interface.
After the Agent Link interface initializes, you will be asked for your user name and password. This is the same user name and password required for the 1 Source Data website.

Duplicate Reports
If a matching credit report is already in the system, you will receive a screen asking whether you want to use an existing report or to create a new report. If you want to use an existing report, press the Select button. If you want to create a new report, click the New Report button. Generally, you do not want to order a new report if the existing reports is not more than thirty (30) days old. This is because it takes at least 30 days before the repositories can update any data on the credit report such as the consumer paying off his/her debt. (For your protection, your setup may have the New Report button disabled to prevent you from accidentially clicking on it. Contact your administrator if you need assistance.)

New Reports
The screen below will appear when a new report is ordered. The information required by Agent Link will already be populated in the form. Verify that the consumer information was correctly exported from Point, and make any necessary corrections. The reference number is included as your borrower's filename from Point. Select the credit repositories to order from, and press Order.

Order Results
When your report is ordered successfully, the credit run result screen appears. This screen, like its counterpart in the regular 1 Source Data interface, summarizes the run results and gives you options for viewing, printing, and paying for the report.
Before you export the liabilities, you can configure how and what liabilities you want to export by clicking on the Config link. By default, all options under Config are disabled.
Description of Config Options
-
Include zero balance ñ Export zero balance liability accounts into POINT
-
Append liabilities ñ Add liability accounts into POINT without overwriting existing liabilities
-
Zero collection PMT ñ Payment for collection and charge off accounts will be zero out before they are exported into POINT
-
Extra export ñ Export the XML data into a path specify by the user
After you have set the desired setting, which will be saved for future exports, click the Export file button to export the file.

When the export is finished, you will receive a message stating that the export was successful. Click OK to confirm and dismiss the box.

After you confirm this dialog, close the Agent Link window by pressing the Close button on the Credit Run Result screen. Note: If you want to print or view the report, order supplement or RMCR, or pay by credit card, do so before dismissing Agent Link. Importing to Point
If you are using Method 2 to order the credit report, Method 2 below is the most efficient way to import the liabilities.
Method 1 - the Interface Menu: When you return to Point, the Credit Reporting Interfaces dialog will still be showing. Click the Receive Data button to import the credit data from 1 Source Data.

When you press the Receive Data button, Point will import the credit data into the existing borrower file. You will see an update notification dialog. Press OK to close this dialog and continue working in Point.

In rare instances, the Receive Data button may be disabled. This is a known bug with Point that can be fixed with a patch from Calyx. To make sure this is not a problem with the interface, try manually uninstalling the Agent Link using the Add/Remove Programs inside control panel in Windows, and then reinstalling Agent Link. If it still doesn't work, you will need to use Method 2 of importing as described below.
Method 2 - via Export Templates: Close the loan file to go back to Point's Main Panel. At the Main Panel, reopen your loan file. Point will automatically import the liabilities, and display a message similar to the figure above to indicate that the import was completed.

The Agent Link Point interface also has a standalone mode that allows you to update borrower files without launching Point. By default, Agent Link installs shortcuts on your Windows desktop and in the Windows Start Menu under 1 Source Data LOSAgent.
Before you start this process, you must have created and saved valid borrower or prospect files for each borrower. As with individual ordering above, each file must have the borrower's name, social security number, and mailing address.
Selecting Point Files The startup screen requires you to specify which reports to request. This page is full of features, so we'll cover it one element at a time.
Point Index and File Type

This segment allows you to select the Point index file and type of file. Point file types are Borrower and Prospect; changing this setting will change the index selection. The index file, or IDX file, controls file information in Point. Usually, this file is in the directory C:\PNTDATA\. To specify a different location, press the Setup button.
The setup button allows you to specify the index file's location by typing it in or by browsing for it. Press OK (Add to list) to add the file, Cancel to return to the selection screen, or Clear list to delete all entries.
List Alphabetically by Loan Representative
This section allows you to search all borrower files, and filter them by loan representative or the borrower's last name. Results are placed in the available borrowers list.
To filter by loan representative, use the Loan Rep. drop-down list. The default choice of -ALL- produces all borrower files, regardless of their representative. Unassigned yields all files without a valid loan rep. Other loan representatives that you have programmed into Point are also placed in this list. Typed-in representative names are not treated as valid; valid representative choices are defined in Point. To add a representative in Point, use the Dropdown List editor. Select the Utilities menu, the Dropdown Lists submenu, and click the Representative... option to add or delete representatives.
To filter by the borrower's last name, use the Bor. last name begins with drop-down list. The default choice is *, which is allowing all borrower files.
If there are more borrower files than can be displayed on the page, Agent Link will divide the results into pages. To view different pages, use the page drop-down list. Entries in this list show the page number, the number of pages, and the range of entries on that page.
Insert File

If you know a specific report file name, or want to browse for only one file, use this option. You can either type in a filename or use the standard Windows browse method. Click the Add To List button to add the file directly to the request list.
Insert Range
NOTE: This option is recommended only if you use Point's numeric Auto File Naming feature.

This list allows you to order requests for a range of files. For example, if you want to pull files 02010002 through 02010021, enter 02010002 in the From file# box and 02010021 in the To box. (This assumes that the borrower files are in files such as 02010002.BRW.) Press the Add To List button to add these files to the request list.
For the Insert Range feature to work, files must either be entirely numerical and end with at least three (3) digits. All of these filenames must be eight (8) characters in length, and the starting file number must be lower than the end file number. If there are files not in the given range, you will receive an error message for each missing file.
If you enter a large enough range, with enough missing files, it will not be feasible to dismiss all of these warnings, and you may need to terminate Agent Link from Windows. To do this, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys from the keyboard, select AGENT LINK, press End Task, wait for End Program dialog, and press End Now.
Available Borrowers List

If you use the filter view option, the available borrowers list will appear. When you move the mouse over a borrower, the background color will turn slate gray. To select a borrower, click once; the background color will become dark gray. You can only select one borrower at a time. To add a borrower to the request list, double-click on the borrower.
If you only want to order a report for one borrower, you can select the field before ordering the report. You need not send it to the request list.
Request List

The request list contains all of the borrower files that you want to run credit reports for. Add borrower files to this list using one of the above methods.
Login and Order

After you select borrower files either in the available borrowers list or the request list, type your 1 Source Data login name and password and press Order. Use the Save pw checkbox if you want Agent Link to save your password for future reference
Selecting Report Options
When you log in, you will see the Agent Link Batch Order screen.

Each borrower's name, address, and social security number are listed. Press the edit button on a record to edit the consumer information on that record. The Sort by last name link sorts the results by last name in ascending order.
Reports are usually listed with black headers on a light gray background. However, if you have already pulled credit information for a borrower or that there is an error with the consumer information, this header has a gold background to warn you to edit the information before ordering. Batch Export
This batch order feature will not reorder reports that have already been pulled. Reports that have been successfully pulled appear on the batch export screen.

Reports that have been pulled successfully will appear with a green header background. You have the option of exporting each report individually by pressing an Export button, exporting all reports with the Export all button, printing reports individually with a Print button, printing all reports with the Print all button, or viewing individual web-based reports with a View button.
Individual exports show the same dialog box as the individual export method from directly within Point. Group exports show a Batch report completed message. Dismiss this dialog, and you can then safely close the Agent Link window.

| Ordering Flood Reports |
|
The Agent Link Point interface can also be used to order flood reports. From Point, load or create a borrower file, as before. This time, you will need to provide a Subject Address entered to use for the flood report. Launching the Interface
Open the Interface menu and select Credit Reporting (or Flood Certification if instructed to do so by your CRA).

The Interfaces dialog will appear. Select the AGENT LINK interface and press the Send Data button.

The Agent Link login page will appear. Type in your login name and password, then click the Flood Login link. Ordering
You will see a modified version of 1 Source Data's flood report order form. The borrower's full name and address are required, and will be filled in by the information that you provided in Point. If you want life-of-loan certification, HMDA statistics, or rush ordering, check the appropriate options. Press the Order button to order the report.
 Duplicate Reports
If you have already pulled a record for that borrower, you will see a screen identical to the duplicate screen on the regular flood report. To view an existing report, press the view link. To order a new report, press the New Report button. Delayed Response
Sometimes, 1 Source Data and Geotrac are unable to come up with an instant response for flood reports. Manual lookups will occasionally be needed to find the relevant data. If this happens, you will be shown an explanation and a Geotrac reference number. You will need to return later to check the status of this report |
| Viewing Flood Reports |
|
Flood reports are viewable as PDF files.
At this time, there is no provision to export flood data directly to Point. However, you can manually complete Point's Flood Certification and Standard Flood Hazard Determination forms by copying fields from the 1 Source Data PDF.
If you would like to see a direct export feature added, please let us know! You can contact us by e-mail at technicalsupport@1 Source Data. |
